Silver Street Glass Studio
105 Silver Street, North Granby, CT 06060

The New England Chapter of the ISGB is pleased to announce their spring meeting with a demo by Annukka Ritalahti! Annukka and her husband, Mark Gottlieb have graciously offered for the Chapter to do a pot luck lunch/brunch at their studio, which is attached to their home.  Please feel free to bring a dish to share!
Annukka , who is teaches at Snow Farm and The Studio at Corning will be demoing mouth blown hollows using soft glass and making the beads on a mini blowpipe.   Immediately following the demo, there will be time for those who would like to give it a try themselves.  Mark has offered for those who wish to do so, to play in the hot-shop with him.

We welcome guests at our meetings and demos.  There is a guest fee of $8.00, which can be applied toward membership.

This is a great opportunity to socialize, share tips and tricks and to discuss any upcoming events that might be of interest to the group.

Annukka Ritalahti has worked with glass since 1980, professionally since 1988. She had her shop and studio in Tampere, Finland until 2014.

Her main public works are in Finland, but her art has found its way to private residences around the world. She has had several private art exhibitions in galleries in Europe and her art has been accepted to several juried art shows, and has been displayed as invited artist on many occasions.

Annukka has taught both hobby and professional students since 1988. Stained Glass, mosaics, painting, flame working, jewelry etc. are in her range of techniques.

Annukka is continuing to create her art and to teach in the USA. The new studio together with Mark offers a great venue to bring her inspiring visions alive.
